Point reyes

.. Where weather changes from bright and sunny to misty cold in a matter of minutes, .. where the high cliffs meet the pacific and acclaimed to be the windiest place on the pacific coast of US

.. guardians of time, that they are.. bear the brunt of the mighty winds.

.. maintained and managed by dedicated and knowledgable park rangers .. live in the nearby quarters year long

.. beautiful flora all along

... the roaring ocean (hardly pacific !!) pulverizes the shells before shoring them

... high cliffs and roaring seas

... seagulls soaring high in the skies

...home to the famous lighthouse that was built in 19th century

... where the great Californian gray whales migrate through each year from the frigid waters of Alaska to bask in the warmth of Baja California for food and reproduction.

The place was well worth the drive.

Point Reyes seashore

A man was taking the picture of the Point Reyes seashore atop the cliff with his view camera and I included him and his camera in this picture.

Honey!, what's for lunch?

- Let's order sea food!!

On our way to Point Reyes

This was shot from the car on our way to Drakes beach (visitor center for Point Reyes national seashore and light house)

Sidelit beauty

This bud got a highlight from the floor bulbs by the pool. I shot more than a couple of them .. well... not completely satisfied with the results.. It was much more beautiful to my eyes than in either of these photos

Flowers by the pool side

I was playing with my camera and flowers being a good subject for any "budding" photographer, I clicked them for fun. (Though I see lack of sharpness, I find the yellow, green and blue colors pleasing my visual senses)

Golden gate veiled

Today, we had a chance to enjoy the beauty of the golden gate veiled by the fog as we emerged through the tunnel from the Sausalitos.
