Moon rise in bonneville salt flats

Wendover is the first exit on I-80 E in Utah from Nevada. The sight that welcomes you from the desert land is vast salt lands that extend to the horizon. We entered Utah at 6.30(Pacific)7.30(Mountain) just when the sun set in the deserts behind us. We stopped for a while at a rest area near the Bonneville salt flats.

awesome pic da, did u just keep it on the ground & take it? or u used some special setting?? the moon looks unnaturally big (in a photo..). is that a mesa in the distance?

yes, the camera was on the salt fields, that kind of gives these small lumps of salts a boulder image. The "mesa" is in reality only a lump of sand on the salt fields (not even a foot tall). The angle of view adds the apparent height.
